I'm currently using a rather non-standard version of the findbar (no next and previous buttons) in my text editor (Scratchpad) and the entire application is a bit non-standard, but I'd still like to comment on this. :)

Just to keep those *nix weirdos happy ;-) I love vi and would love to support this handy keybinding, but it really doesn't make sense for a text editor or in any other case where an entry widget is likely to be focused.
