All good points. A very simple first-cut solution might just automatically stop recording when you tried to perform any sort of window management functions, I suppose-- if you want to record interactions with other windows, you've got the option of recording the whole screen instead. Yeah, the Grab application that comes with OSX allows that, but it does only take static screenshots.
