I think that gnome _CAN'T_ think that people will only use gnome applications. Some aplications, like Totem, Gaim, Glade and Epiphany, has their names on their "generic name", and I am sure that this doesn't prejudice them and don't generate confusion about their names. But I am worried about the fact that a very generic name could generate some confusion about what program the person is using, and I think that we cannot expect that all distributions will solve that, I think that gnome have to solve that by itself.
