I see how shutdown/suspend etc.. are different to log-out / switch user, but ever since this changed, I've found it a real pain. I'd got very used to just hitting the power button on the laptop and getting a dialog with _all_ the options. (Not sure if this was an Ubuntu modification or not). I guess my muscles remember a combined "end session" dialog, where all of the above are valid ways to end a session. Perhaps the unified dialog was too cluttered though - was that why it was dropped? I for one miss it!
