can someone point me towards the APIs I should use to open a user-space CDC driver?
my device presents a CDC interface (i.e. a CDC Comm interface with 1 control pipe and a CDC Data interface with 1 read pipe and 1 write pipe). these were matching to the generic USB driver which I don’t believe can give me the APIs (or the protocol) that I need. I wrote a codeless matching kext to leave it unopened by the OS. now I can match the interfaces fine in my app. this can give me an io_service for each device interface which are not open by the OS is that’s what I need. however there is no CDC IOFamily to open them in user-space with. how am I supposed to work with a CDC device from user-space? any help would be appreciated. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
