Don’t know what you are trying to do but what about whipping together a bit of userland code to probe? I’m trying something that way for a USB Audio/MIDI controller whose last driver is from 2009. It has 2 kexts but they no longer load in Yosemite because of the Apple kext signing requirements. It’s a learning experience. Last time I did anything with drivers was on an IBM mainframe back in the 360/370 days.
