Very sorry to hear that. HC turned a hobby and research aid in grad school i= nto being the nucleus to bring together a number of hats into a career for 3= 5 years. Certainly gave me a new and interesting path in life when I decided= not to be a prof after post doc. I was able to use HC for some projects eve= ryone said would require C programming and way more time and effort than it e= nded up taking with HC (PC side ended up that way though!). That then lead t= o MetaCard.=20
All this stuff rests on Bill=E2=80=99s shoulders and neurons. Only met him o= nce, but was a very sweet chap to me when he didn't have to be. Same sort of= spirit bubbled out of HC and thus the community that formed around it and l= ater MetaCard and LiveCode. Nice legacy.
