Hello Todd,
On Windows at least, have at the running processes in the task
manager... chances are pretty good that you'll find one or more ghost
processes lingering for one of the browsers. Just end all that you
might find and try the installer again.

If you're on a Mac or don't find any ghost processes, I'm already out
of suggestions... other than a reboot.
