I had word from Nicolas Cueto on Saturday. He lives in Tochigi prefecture (I think) north of Tokyo.
He and his family were all right. In his words, "But, fortunately, our home, like most other homes in the town, just suffered from furniture falling over, shelves collapsing, and things falling off walls."
