Thanks Bill! For the first one, that may be a good alternative. I have not tested it but I do appreciate the idea. I'll try it. It complicates the process of updating the text a bit but I may have to figure out a way to automate that part if i can not get the text scrolling smooth. I've had someone tell me it runs smooth on a power Mac so that test is next
