I have been an Apple fan for many years, through thick and thin. But I am
really fed up with the crap Apple is foisting upon us. Apparently there is a
prevailing sentiment in Cupertino where they think they have every right to
control what we do with our devices, even after we pay cash money for them.

I just had to tell one of our users they could not upgrade their memory because
Apple saw fit to SOLDER THE CHIPS TO THE MOTHERBOARD! Not only that, but my
battery in my laptop is dying (prematurely) and because the battery is GLUED TO
THE CASE with exceptionally good glue, the process of removing it myself is
dangerous and onerous, involving toxic solvents and a great deal of care to
avoid damaging the batteries.

I suppose they can justify the logic with the batteries, preventing people from
easily removing (and therefore improperly disposing of) the battery, but
soldering memory to the motherboard? And now the drives cannot be migrated???

The only thing keeping me from completely abandoning Apple altogether is
Windows 10.
