As I read over this thread it reminded me that ideally the LiveCode IDE would be watching files/folders rather than having to be notified by the text editor. One of these days I want to investigate using something like fswatch <https://github.com/emcrisostomo/fswatch> to monitor for changes and then reload them in the LiveCode IDE.
