Hi William, I believe it is called a UDID (that may be preventing you from 
googling where it is). Quite easy to locate however. Cable your iphone to your 
laptop. Open the finder. In the left hand panel scroll to the bottom until you 
see the iPhone entry with the little doohickey (up arrow) beside it. Being 
careful not to click on the up arrow, click on the word iPhone itself. At the 
top of the finder window you will now see an entry for your iPhone with name, 
type, gigabytes, battery level etc Click on the same line as the battery 
indicator (anywhere). This will reveal your iPhones UDID.
