My pleasure!

I’ve been thinking that, with the rise of AI, it’s now possible to create thousands of programs in C/C++ or Java for Livecode.

Last month, just out of curiosity, I built a customer management program in C with a TUI designed in ncurses and a SQLite database. It works wonderfully and has the look and feel of software from the 1980s.

This opens up a huge opportunity for LiveCode: people who aren’t experts in C++ or LiveCode Builder can now create countless LiveCode plugins, utilities, and extensions — and even publish them in the LiveCode Store.

With a bit of collaboration, we could even port LiveCode Server Community Edition (I honestly think is much better than Python for scripting) to previously unsupported platforms, like ARM.

The future looks truly exciting for our beloved language!

Hery,

Thanks for letting us know how you are using ChatGPT and LiveCode.
Glad to hear the LLMs are improving their understanding of LiveCode.
