I have the delusion that I have relativity figured out. For example how can two particles be going at the speed of light yet relative to each other be going at the speed of light? In my little theory it is like the road-runner escaping the coyote. In this case it is two road-runners running toward each other with the road piling up in front of them so the distance between them is not a straight line but a curved line of rumpled asphalt. If the distance of the curved asphalt is twice the straight line distance between them they both can be doing the speed of light relative to the asphalt and relative to each other. The space-time is the asphalt.
So now I set my delusional mind to neutrinos going faster than the speed of light. I understand that neutrinos fly through the earth unencumbered by other particles and apparently surpass the speed of light. So perhaps space-time has friction. Friction is what makes the space-time pile up in front of the speeding photon. Maybe neutrinos are not affected by friction or maybe not so much as photons are so maybe E=mc2 is missing a friction coefficient. One thing is sure I have proved the statement above. Clearly I know nothing about quantum mechanics yet claim to understand it. -- View this message in context: http://runtime-revolution.278305.n4.nabble.com/OT-Warp-Drive-Here-We-Come-tp3835145p3837007.html Sent from the Revolution - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ use-livecode mailing list [email protected] Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-livecode
