Hi Monte,
I'm still of the opinion that apps that write to the Preferences folder, no
matter how they do it, will be rejected by the Mac App Store, although I
will admit that it's far from clear.  I've already switched my app over to
comply with the MAS guidelines.

I will attempty to get clarification on this from Apple.
