I see no harm and much benefit to an app that lets people get to work
instantly.
Rather than hamper the experience by introducing an unnecessary wait,
why not just make that an About screen and let your users enjoy the
instant load time?
I have to agree, especially since LiveCode apps never suspend, they
always just quit. If the user leaves the app to check email or answer a
call, and then comes back, they'll be pretty irritated if they have to
wait through a long splash all over again.
