Hi Dan, I had the same problem. Copying the file adb (on Mac OS X) or adb.exe and two adb dll's from the platofrm-tools folder to the tools folder of the Android SDK installation solved it. Unfortunately, there are other people who say even after copying these files they still couldn't soive the problem, but I think it is worth a try.
