A client just directed me to Font Awesome. http://fortawesome.github.com/Font-Awesome/ I'm not familiar with Twitter Bootstrap, for which it was designed, but it looks immediately useful for LC. It's basically a very large monochrome icon collection in vector format, and also collected as a TrueType font. I expect it may be useful for both desktop and mobile development.
