I think that "no longer possible" is just a little too strong.
Hackers will always find a way, if they really want to. (No, I don't
consider myself a hacker).

It's no longer possible. The file format of standalones was changed
and the two parts can't be separated any more. If your standalones
are built with any engine released over the last year or so, they
can't be tampered with.
