I wonder what you have tried to far and why it didn't work?
One solution is
on mouseUp
export snapshot from grp 1 to myPict as PNG
set the clipboarddata["image"] to myPict
end mouseUp
but because this doesn't always give nice results, you might try
on mouseUp
export snapshot from rect (the rect of grp 1) of this cd \
to myPict as PNG
set the clipboarddata["image"] to myPict
end mouseUp
