No that is not the case... setting the setAllowedOrientations to a new configuration is sufficient... I have an example where viewing a map on a card in landscape... tapping the callout... the card rotates automatically to portrait when displaying the info on another card... all that has been done is to drop landscape from the allowed orientations...
