The engine supports that, and some IDE actions seem to allow it:
1. Make a new stack
2. Add a button
3. While the button is selected, hit the Delete key
4. Type Cmd-Z
RESULT: the button reappears.
Perhaps the undo of deletions is hampered only when the script editor is
in play?
