Nope. Nothing to do with the scroll location.
I've posted this as a bug. I included in my comments that some users
don't see this at all. Must be a platform or system dependent thing.

On my Mac too. When I first read the message I thought he was talking about
preserving the location/scroll of the script itself rather than the window it
was in.
