So you are saying that there is NO difference between 6.5 and 7.0, both take 10-12 sec to save your file.
Are you still looking for a way to speed that up? If so the short answer is you need to move all those records to an SQLite database. 1 card + 1 SQLite DB and guaranteed any changes you make will be saved in less than the blink of an eye. Of course, learning how to work with SQLite, transfer all that data and modify your stack will take somewhat longer; but thankfully LC is a rapid development environment so you can feel good about the fact that it'll take less time than any other language ;-) If the thought of learning SQLite seems daunting then working with a NOT CSV* flat file would also yield noticeable speed increases.
