Well, as has been the subject of other threads on here and the forums, 'the 
properties' whilst well meaning has never been particularly well defined.

Monte did significant work on it a couple of years ago to make it work for 
lcVCS but that meant putting in specific code for the engine controls to ensure 
overlapping properties didn't affect the end result.

However, how to do that generally for widgets is not yet clear.
