I started with HyperCard, migrated to MetaCard, then Revolution, which became LiveCode. I have dabbled in AppleScript, DOS batch scripts, VMS scripts, but always return to the language I started with, in its modern form (LiveCode). I don't WANT to ever have to learn C or C++! I don't want a GUI only language because it would be as limited as painting in MS-Word. Nor would I want to start with something so easy that I have a false sense of what programming is, then have to learn something completely different and more difficult. Start with basic LC, and gradually build on those skills in ONE great language - LiveCode. /2 cents ~Roger ~Roger _______________________________________________ use-livecode mailing list use-livecode@lists.runrev.com Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-livecode
