Sounds like a good set of techniques. You might also try putting the AppleScript in a custom property and "do"-ing that, rather than a hidden field - it's a little neater, since you don't have the extra hidden object rattling around, and you can edit it easily in the properties palette without having to show the field, make sure it's not behind anything, etc. -- Jeanne A.
