Hi All
The following url seems to be providing some good info on creating custom file types on Linux: http://developer.kde.org/documentation/library/kdeqt/kde3arch/mime.html I don't know much about Linux but I'm interested in working out what bridges need to be crossed to build my apps for Linux. For starters I need to be able to create custom file types. I also need to be able to open any file in its default application. I'm also wondering if files can be opened in a running app on Linux (DDE on Win32, AppleEvents on MacOS). Cheers Monte Goulding B.App.Sc. (Hons.)
