Looking at examples in the wild, in non-Apple apps triple-click
behaviors appear to be implemented inconsistently: in Firefox and
Thunderbird a triple-click does not include the trailing return, but in
Adobe GoLive it does.
But in Apple apps like TextEdit, Stickies, iWeb, and iCal, a
triple-click consistently includes the trailing return.
Word 2008, iTunes, TextMate, Coda, and Feeder also select the trailing
return of a line when triple-clicking; so it seems like what we were *used*
to was a bug!
Hmmm. Let me see (retesting on Mac... never believing what I'm told) OK,
I just expanded my test to include more apps. Sure enough, there's
variety out there. (Retesting on Vista...) wow - there's variety on
Windows too.
Dang - I was hoping it would be a black-and-white, open and shut case.
Oh well. Better to learn now than later. Thanks for the help guys!
