Same result here. With the 4-character Apple codes, using
specialfolderpath("cusr") returned the correct "home" directory.
So does $HOME, but we need a crossplatform solution.
Using specialfolderpath("temp") returned empty. (Perhaps I don't
have a temp directory...)
