I'm figuring on my Rev app being the controller (server based, with a
remote Rev app linkup for administration) and dispatching the interface
through a browser as well as a standalone. More options for remotes that
may not be able to load up the Rev standalone.
At the moment all is well with the server and standalone apps, I'm
looking to maintain flexibility.
Cheers,
Luis.

ExtJS is not free from commercial use anymore :-/
(And I can't see what's the current price)

SproutCore may eventually be great, but today, ExtJS is far more developed
and powerful as a web app dev framework, with a lot more widgets and
components.
I just found this third-party library for GWT & ExtJS with some nice
examples:
http://gwt-ext.com/demo/
Will SproutCore ever catch up? We will see.
The funny thing is, Revolution runs circles around both of them as a dev
environment. Myself, a part-time, beginner/intermediate user, can accomplish
functionality in an hour in Rev that it takes a master word class Javascript
genius 8-10 hours or more to do.
Of course, my deliverable is standalone software, they deliver in a browser,
but sheesh!

Luis,
Yes, I read more, it looks like ruby on rails with the generators and
stuff... appears very nice, I'm still waiting for the Objective-J
though, have you seen 280slides?

Read through it, you'll see it more than that.
Whatever comes out of it in the end, time will tell.

Luis,
SproutCore is not one of the Apple Cores, it was created by third
party for a product called SproutIt. I am trying to check it out too
but their site is dugg/slashdoted and not answering...
Also SproutCore is a MVC Javascript framework, so in the end it only
features what javascript + the DOM can do. So for some features flash
still king, for others then we can say: "here comes a new challenger".
Stay tunned for Objective-J/Cappuccino duo, it's a Objective-C/Cocoa
inspired thing made my two Ex Apple employees. check their first
product called 280 Slides.

Thought it might be of interest to anyone considering browser
integration
of
Apple's 'Core' features for all platforms.
