Klaus, you might also consider using "open process". This can be useful (depending on the shell command you're using) because you can then set up a non-blocking send in time loop to monitor progress and get the output.
Rigfht now we are just using "ditto" to let the users copy files from a to b and back.
But now I can change our code, so the users can work on while copying large files,
mainly uncompressed DV video files. But that's a good idea, will surely archive it! Thanks, Mark!
