I even tried this:
*on* returnInfield
*if* the target = field "f_i_billoflading_specialNote" *then*
*beep* one
*pass* returninfield
*else*
returnkey
*end* *if*
*end* returnInfield
and there is no "beep" so something is going on that I don't understand.
