quite some sounds are available through revSelect. These sounds are
high quality and royalty free. Might be worth checking out.
Also there is one site which used to offer a vast amount of free
sounds. they seem to have changed there business modell to a
subscription service though. I have not looked at their new agreements
yet. However, the sounds are very high quality for most of them

Also it might be worth to check out commercial sound libraries like
