Animated gif frames can all have different durations. To make a movie version you would need a frame duration that was a multiple of all of the gif frame durations, and each gif frame would have to be extended to last just the right number of movie frames. You would most likely end up with a bigger file that doesn't have exactly the same timing as the original.
