How do you refer to "this group"?

Please, someone tell me:  I have a group of 3 to 5 controls.  How can I 
control that group by scripting an object in it.  e.g. "put the id of 
this group" does not work.  What I ultimately want is for the group to 
follow the mouseLoc and, if the opetionKey is down, to delete the group.
