While I certainly agree and add my "me too" to the list, I seriously
doubt that anyone in the mothership cares. Or pays any attention to
these threads at all.
I'm confused now. on-rev has only been around for a few weeks, so how would talk of it be around a few months ago? And are we talking about getting forum messages as emails? That's already how I get these ones.

This is a mailing list, and about 18 months ago the runrev.com site (or some other domain) established forums to handle the various topics, such as newbie, database, graphics, what-Rev-should-have, etc.

Occasionally it will seem that a thread will never end, yet only be of interest to a very few, thus, "wouldn't it be nice to have a forum that would put all the newbie content in a place they can find it"

The downsides are that the everyday use of this list fits into the workflow, rather than a forum you need to visit and do searches or copious navigation. I only go to forums when I have to do research, not stay informed. Fortunately there are those who post to forums with enough good content that they do become a resource.

My opinion is that some organization that wants to catalog good conversations and help content should collect this information and organize it to boost their ability to help new users.

Different style for different people.
