You are not wrong. (I always like to answer rhetorical questions,
even if they're only implied...)
Opening CMYK Jpegs would be a feature, and may be only a minority
interest. But in the absence of that feature, being unable to
distinguish a CYMK image from a broken URL or corrupt file is a bug,
one of those that impair our ability to create professional-quality
work in Rev.
