Graphic effects, in themselves a great feature- cant be used outside
the stack since the exported image strips the effects. It would be
great if the image exported has the effect(s) applied.
Is there any other way to do this? Where does one log in feature
requests?

I found a way. Set up your Graphic / Button / Image / Field with the
graphic effects you want
then GROUP it with a slightly larger, graphic object that is transparent
and has a 0 border.
Export a snapshot of the group.
