I've never had any problem with this. What are the actual names of your two stacks? The symptoms sound like what happens if two stacks have the same name. I'm sure you aren't doing that, but wondering if your problem is related somehow.
BTW, you don't look like a fool; you've just stumbled on some kind of exception that the rest of us haven't encountered yet. Before you report it, we should try to figure out the cause.
