Thanks everyone. In my tests it worked fine. But I wasn't sure if there
was something I was unaware of that would come back to bite me on the
backside!

What happened when you tried it?
It's a quick test:
1. Make a stack
2. Save it
3. In the Finder/Explorer, change the name of the file
4. Save it again
