I believe the standalone builder *requires* 9 resources -- 48x48/32x32/16x16 pixel sizes at 32/8/4 bit depths. Vista and Win7 take advantage of a large 256x256 resource as well, but I don't believe rev's standalone builder requires this resource. In any event, the SB should warn you if your icon resources are incomplete when building a standalone.
