and "thinking different" just for the sake of being awkward can prove
rather destructive.
Of course. Choosing any product, whether it's an OS or a vacuum
cleaner, should ideally be done on the rational merit of the product.
I bought my first Mac because when my wife and I landed in the US we had to
have a PC for student work: I hadn't a clue . . . looked in a Montgomery
Ward catalog
and saw "Macintosh", and so bought an LC 470 because my Granddad's name was
McIntosh . . . rational enough for me . . . :)
