It's a terrible experience - of course if you are paying to submit, at least you can count on getting some kind of response. It is the unfortunate result of companies getting acquired - from the outside you never quite know what the reasons were, and frequently the sellers really do not care if the product is subsequently killed or not. Then you have some level of sabotage that occurs when you try to gel two (or more teams).
