This is easy to solve. You could do it by simply changing the download button. I will try to solve it too when I have the time. I don't know what machine you're using but if it is mac os x then both interarchy and transmit can handle multiple ftp connections at the same time. I don't know but filezilla might be able too. I will try to make so that both columns can accept file or ftp urls... but I will only be able to do it when I have the time.
