Hi, Pete. Might your task be easier using "dateItems" as this example does?

function dayOfWeek tDate
   convert tDate to dateItems
return item last item of tDate of \
          "Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday"
end dayOfWeek
