Tim,

It's pretty simple:

The link-making button:

on mouseUp
    set the textStyle of the selectedChunk to "link"
end mouseUp

In the field that has the linked text:

on linkClicked pTxt
    launch url pTxt
end linkClicked

That should do what you want.
