If a player's filename (including the path) is too long, it simply
doesn't play at all. When will this be fixed ? I was hoping it would be
fixed in 2.0 but no ...

Failing a fix, is there a way to translate a long path ("C:\Program
Files\etc") into a 16-bit short path ("C:\Progra~1\etc"), which may help
(a bit).
