...Actually, that's the beauty of dateitems -- you don't have to account for any of that stuff. When you add a number to any item of the dateItems and then convert that string back to any other date/time format, the conversion handles all the spanning calculations for you.

Thanks, but it's just an old HyperCard convention so I'm not all that amazing after all. I can't seem to find the explanation in the docs though, at least, not under the "convert" command.
